Build a full product photoset in one session
A repeatable recipe for hero shot, lifestyle set and detail crops that all look like the same shoot — because consistency, not quality, is the hard part.
By Ideovex Team

The hard part of a product set is not making one good image. It is making eight images that look like they came from the same afternoon with the same photographer. That is a consistency problem, and consistency comes from locking variables — not from better prompts.
Step 1 — Write the brief once
Before you generate anything, fix four things in writing and never change them mid-set:
- Surface —
honed travertine - Light —
single soft window light from camera left, deep shadow right - Palette —
warm stone, bone white, one brass accent - Lens —
50mm for wides, 100mm macro for details
Those four clauses are now a fixed suffix on every prompt in the set. Only the framing clause changes.
Step 2 — Nail the hero
Generate the hero shot until it is genuinely right: product centred, three-quarter angle, generous negative space above for a headline. Use a cheap model to find the composition, then re-run the winning prompt on a photoreal flagship. When it lands, save it as a Studio Preset — prompt, model and settings together.
Step 3 — Fan out the set
Load the preset and change only the framing clause. A complete commercial set is usually:
- Hero, three-quarter, negative space for copy
- Straight-on front, dead centre, catalogue style
- Overhead flat lay with two supporting props
- Macro detail on the material or seam
- Macro detail on the logo or closure
- In-hand or in-use lifestyle frame
- Wide environmental shot, product small in frame
- Negative-space banner crop, product hard right
Batch generation runs these together instead of one at a time. Eight images at five credits is forty credits — comfortably inside a single day's allowance on any paid tier.
Step 4 — Fix, do not re-roll
When a frame is 90% right, editing beats regenerating. Inpaint the wrong label, outpaint to widen a crop for a different aspect ratio, upscale only the two frames going to print. Three to five credits each, and the rest of the frame stays untouched — which is exactly what protects your consistency.
Step 5 — Keep the recipe
The preset is the deliverable that survives the project. Next quarter's colourway is a fifteen-minute job because the brief, the model and the settings are already saved. Name presets by client and set — acme-ss26-stone — and future you will thank present you.
A note on honesty
Generated imagery of a physical product is art direction, not documentation. Materials, proportions and finishes drift. For anything a customer will use to make a purchase decision, verify against the real object — or composite the real product into a generated environment rather than generating the product itself.
